Book your appointment
Send the diagnosis and recent investigations. A transplant physician in India will advise whether transplantation is indicated, which type would apply, what it would cost and how soon it could begin.
An opinion, an estimate and a plan
- An opinion from a senior haemato-oncologist, normally within 48 hours
- A written hospital estimate stating inclusions and exclusions
- More than one unit's assessment where a comparison is useful
- Visa invitation letter and travel planning once you decide to proceed
What to send
Confirmed diagnosis and date · most recent complete blood count · bone marrow aspirate and biopsy report · cytogenetic or molecular results · summary of treatment so far · HLA typing if performed · patient age and weight.
Clear photographs of printed reports are fine. They need no translation and no certification.
Telephone, WhatsApp and email are to be added here. Until they are live, the form is the fastest route — it reaches the same team.

How much does a bone marrow transplant cost in India?
For most patients the cost falls between USD 16,000 and USD 50,000. An autologous transplant is typically quoted at USD 30,000–50,000, an allogeneic transplant at USD 40,000–60,000, and haploidentical or cord blood transplants at USD 50,000–70,000. The final figure depends on the diagnosis, the transplant type, donor availability, the hospital and whether complications occur.
How long do I need to stay in India?
Plan for approximately 90 days. That covers 7 to 10 days of pre-transplant work-up, around 21 days as an inpatient in the transplant ward, and then outpatient monitoring near the hospital until the transplant team confirms your counts are stable and it is safe to fly.
What if nobody in my family is a match?
A haploidentical transplant from a half-matched relative is well established in India and performed in high volume there. Because every biological parent and child shares exactly half the HLA markers, almost every patient with a living close relative has a possible donor. Registry and cord blood searches are also possible.
What is the success rate of a bone marrow transplant?
There is no single success rate. Outcome depends heavily on the diagnosis, the disease status at transplant, the degree of HLA match, the patient's age and organ function, and the centre's experience with that indication. Children transplanted for thalassaemia major with a matched sibling donor before significant iron overload have among the best outcomes of any indication, while leukaemia transplanted after relapse does considerably worse than the same disease transplanted in first remission. Ask your transplant physician for the expected outcome in your specific case.
How do I obtain an Indian medical visa?
The hospital issues an invitation letter confirming the diagnosis, the planned treatment and the estimated duration. You submit that with your passport, financial proof and medical reports to the Indian mission in your country. Attendants apply separately for medical attendant visas linked to the patient's visa.
Do you charge a fee for arranging treatment?
No. There is no charge for the medical opinion, the cost estimate or travel coordination. You pay the hospital directly for your treatment.
